Welcome to Panther Valley Middle School. PVMS has 463 students enrolled for the 2014-2015 school year. PVMS strives to provide a learning environment where students can achieve academic success and reach their fullest potential. Our forty five faculty and staff are dedicated to providing an enriching curriculum that will prepare our students for the world in which they live today.
It is hard to believe that February is over already, and we are one month closer to Spring. Our sixth and seventh grade students have plugged away this month with the CDT testing in math and reading.
End of quarter Class Meetings and Awards were held on February 11th, 12th, and 13th. Students were recognized for their academic efforts in all subject areas. Mr. O'Brien, the disciplinarian, addressed our 7th and 8th grade students about technology usage.
The Relay for Life Team held a middle school dance on Friday, February 13, 2015. Students were definitely experiencing cabin fever and greatly enjoyed the dance. The Relay for Life is grateful to all students for supporting this cause.
The ACE team competed at Northwestern Lehigh on February 23rd and 25th. Team members include Trey Turner, Erica Tout, Amanda Fegley, Aaron Eidem, Jordan Serina, and Aaron Miller. Mr. Terry Bonner and Rich Evanko supported our students during this endeavor.
The "What's So Cool about Manufacturing" contest came to close on February 24th. Mrs. Branchide and Pauline Davis attended the awards ceremony in Bethlehem. Although we did not win an award, it was a great learning experience for our students.
The PBS team met on Tuesday, February 24th to discuss the status of the group. A representative from the IU came to meet with Lisa Ogozalek about our check in and check out system. We will be moving forward with this initiative.
